Ben Mirov

#0000000000002

Steam from the pork loin.
Vapors from the couch.
Everything around us
turning into mist.
Undulating waves of time
wash across our goggles.
I'm going to travel to a distant
point in space,
step out of my idea wagon
and plant my gasping flag
in a mound of trash.
This marks the end
of my transmission...
Thanks for taking a moment
to stand in my whispering shoes.

Ben Mirov is the author of Hider Roser (Octopus Books, 2012), Ghost Machine (Caketrain, 2010. He grew up in Northern California and lives in Oakland.
